flashback to paradise.

i’ve got paradise on my mind. oh how i wish i could time travel right back to the banyan tree mayakoba in mexico & to the time when trump was not our president. we went for one of z’s closest friends wedding. our jaws dropped as we drove through the jurassic park like road to an even more awe amazing resort. we took many moments during the weekend to revel in what it might be like if our pockets were much fuller. thought i’d share a couple photos we were able to take in between rain storms. unfortunately, it is entering hurricane season out there & it was raining the majority of our stay. none the less it was absolutely beautiful & we had an incredible time. one weekend was not enough!

p.s. please someone invite me to your wedding… dancing at weddings is my absolute favorite!

pick pick pickin’

img_7702after hanging at the beach for a bit, we went into town. half moon bay is a darling costal city full of shops & eats. after strolling about & perusing shops we went pumpkin picking. this is the second year z & i have picked pumpkins together. this year we stopped at farmer john’s pumpkin patch. after meticulous decision we left with our favorites. i spotted a corn field in the back of the patch, so i yanked z & the pup over for a family photo op. i do enjoy the ground shot. anybody bring your tripod along for the ride on adventure days?

baker beach

on sunday i like to go to the beach with z. our first destination on this particular sunday was marshall’s beach, but driving through the presidio, a national park & former military base, we realized we would have to hike down. the rain was pouring heavily, so we decided to head down the road to baker beach, where you can park right at the entrance to the beach. the weather was dreary, but the waves were full of life. these were the biggest & most powerful waves i have ever seen (granted i haven’t seen many waves). with the golden gate bridge in the background it was the perfect place to romp around & get soaked to the bone.

one of my favorite things to do is explore. now that z is working throughout the week, we make it a point to find adventure & explore on our weekends. being new to san francisco & california we have more than we can think of to see & do.

this past weekend z & i headed down to fisherman’s warf. with no agenda in mind, but to walk around. we took our time strolling around & found ourselves inside the musee mecanique, an antique coin operated arcade, for much longer than we expected. it was incredible to see games built many many years ago still in working condition. the craftsmanship & quality blew my mind. makes me appreciate the things made my hand, for it seems there is more meticulous care & passion behind the product. on our way home we decided to drive the famous lombard street.

next stop… san francisco!

we’ve moved to san francisco! this a very exciting new venture for both z & i. we have both fallen in love with the pnw, but we are not ready to settle down there quite yet. we both share the dream to live in many different places & to travel. it has always been a passion of mine to expose myself to a multitude of cultures, environments, & adventures.

we decided to begin our next adventure together on highway 101. we started in seattle & finished three blissful days later in san francisco. z & i have found that we thrive on the road, while traveling, & adventuring together. this is where we are both able to discover things about ourselves & together as a couple. the journey was filled with excitement, fear, joy, laughter, tears, & love.
